The Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) is a registered public company established by the Reserve Bank of India and is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Finance, the Government of India that imparts education in banking and finance. It is known for its flagship courses, the Junior Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (JAIIB)/Diploma in Banking and Finance (DBF) and the Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). It is the statutory professional body for Bankers in India. With its membership of over 700 banks and financial institutions as institutional members and about 300,000 of their employees as individual members, IIBF is the largest Institute of its kind in the world and was established by the Reserve Bank of India. It works with the RBI in formulating and enforcing banking standards and policies.

The Indian Institute of Banking and Finance has released the official notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for JAIIB Exam 2023 on its official website.JAIIB has released the dates for the May cycle and October cycle and announced the online registration dates.
For the JAIIB 2023 Exam May and October 2023 cycle, the registration process date has been announced below. The exams are usually scheduled in May and October of every year.

Only those applicants who are already employed in the banking and finance industry are eligible to apply for the JAIIB exam. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
To register for the JAIIB 2023 exam, candidates must go to the IIBF website and log in with their unique membership number and password. They are required to fill in information such as the preferred mode, media, and exam centre, and the bank/institute where they work. After filling the form, the candidates must pay the registered fees using debit or credit card or net banking. Only online modes of payment are accepted.
The detailed stepwise approach to apply for the exam is as under
Step 1: Visit the site iibf.org.in.for the application form
Step 2: On the left side of the screen of the Home page, click the ‘Examination / Courses' Option
Step 3: Select for the ‘Flagship Courses'
Step 4: Choose the option ‘ JAIIB', and you will be redirected to the JAIIB Online application page.
Step 5: Enter all the basic information
Step 6: A unique Registration number will be generated
Step 7: The registration number and password will be issued by message and e-mail.
Step 8: Fill in all of the required fields on the application form.
Step 9: All needed documents must be uploaded.
Step 10: Before submitting the final application, you must pay the application fee.
Step 11: For future reference, print out the JAIIB 2022 application form.

Eligible candidates are given 5 attempts to clear the exam over 3 years. The application fees are valid until 3 years. The application process is not complete until the JAIIB application fee is paid. Candidates must pay the JAIIB application fee by the deadline set by the IIBF. You will be charged an extra fee if you pay the fee after the deadline. The registration for the exam varies with the number of attempts. The fees are as follows:

The JAIIB exams are conducted twice a year, in May and October. The candidates are required to sit for four exams which are held in the weekends. The exams are conducted in offline mode.
The format for the JAIIB exam 2023 is multiple-choice questions. The total number of questions in each paper is 100, and the maximum mark is 100 marks. There is 1/4th negative marking.
To qualify for the exam, the candidate is required to secure a 50% in all three subjects or a minimum of 45 marks in each subject with an aggregate 50% in all four papers in a single attempt.

The candidate is not given more than 5 consecutive attempts to clear the exam. Therefore, a candidate should qualify for the exam within 3 years of registration. Candidates who fail to clear the exam in the given number of attempts need to register for the exam again, and the benefit of the previously cleared paper is waived off.

Candidates receive their JAIIB Admit Card from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance when registering for the exam. Candidates receive a real-time admit card after completing the registration process. The admission card is emailed to the registered email address, and candidates can download it.
Candidates must bring a printed copy of their admission letter, as well as their membership identity card or any other valid picture ID card, in person. At the examination centre, candidates can produce identity cards such as Aadhaar card/e-Aadhaar, Employee ID card, PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID Card, Passport, etc.

On the official website of the IIBF, the JAIIB exam result are announced. To pass the JAIIB exam, candidates must get a minimum cut-off score. As previously stated, the JAIIB test consists of three papers of 100 marks each. Each subject or paper requires a minimum score of 50 out of 100 to pass.
