This is an original preparation plan, not a new examination announcement. Check dates, stages, eligibility and application instructions in the issuing authority’s current notice.

Plan your preparation
Review one original message scenario after computer-awareness study. Keep practical safety guidance linked to current CERT-In material and official service instructions rather than relying on an old forwarded checklist.
02 / UNDERSTANDING
The concept in context
Phishing tries to obtain information or actions through deceptive messages that appear trustworthy. Urgency, impersonation and a convincing logo can be used together, so appearance alone is weak evidence. Verify an unexpected request through a known official route rather than following its link or relying on the sender’s claimed identity.
03 / UNDERSTANDING
A worked learning case
Original educational case. In an original example, a message claims an exam application will be cancelled unless the learner immediately enters a password and one-time code through a supplied link. The learner instead opens the official recruitment site independently and checks the relevant notice. The urgent wording and copied branding are not treated as sufficient evidence that the request is genuine.
ORIGINAL EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE
Try it before you check.
Original practice: Does an official-looking logo prove that an unexpected credential request is genuine?
Show the answer and reasoning
No.
Logos and formatting can be copied, so they do not establish who controls a message or destination. The request should be checked through a known official route, especially when it asks for credentials or a code. Verification based only on information supplied by the suspicious message leaves the original claim untested.
Two traps to watch for.
- Using a message’s own link as the only verification route.
- Assuming an authentication code should be shared with anyone claiming authority.
YOUR TOPIC-SPECIFIC LEARNING MAP
Build your next study session
Pause at urgency and credential requests.
Open the known official service independently.
Use current official guidance for support and reporting.
Explain the idea, apply it to a new situation, then check what changed in your reasoning.
